On October 5, the Department of Public Works and Facilities granted authorization for the concurrent execution of the urbanization and building works corresponding to Phase 1 of Valdecarros.

Valdecarros is the largest of the southeastern developments, covering 19 million m², which is roughly equivalent to half of the urban land area of the city of Seville. The urbanization project has been divided into eight phases, of which the first three are already under construction, with the first phase at a very advanced stage.
The new district will provide approximately 47,550 new homes, around 55% of which will be subject to some form of public housing protection. In this way, the City Council is enabling the development of the first 2,500 homes, located within Phase 1.
WHAT THE SIMULTANEOUS EXECUTION AUTHORIZATION MEANS
This step taken by the City Council means that developers may begin constructing the first homes once they obtain the corresponding building permits, even if the urbanization works have not yet been formally accepted. As a result, the urban development process is accelerated, and housing projects can significantly reduce their delivery timelines.
A NEW BOOST FOR THE SOUTHEASTERN DEVELOPMENTS
With the granting of the simultaneous execution authorization, the developments of Los Cerros, Los Ahijones, Los Berrocales, and Valdecarros now have, at different stages of progress, permits that allow urbanization works to be carried out in parallel with residential construction.
This means that, across these four developments, around 20,000 homes can already be built out of the approximately 100,000 homes planned. To date, 5,219 homes are already under construction (349 in Los Cerros, 1,450 in Los Ahijones, and 3,420 in Los Berrocales), while 110 homes have already been completed in Los Berrocales.
